Fred Groulx in another Galaxie!!!!!
Fred Groulx appears to be one of Canada's latest favourite artist/producers with his success on Canada's digital satellite music channels. Galaxie, the series of music-only networks offered by most Canadian cable and satellite TV providers, has added Fred Groulx's remix of DeepSound Records' latest release, Monogamma's "Sea Trip", released worldwide on March 19, 2010. This follows Fred Groulx's previous additions, including Max Julien's Insomnimix of Fred Groulx's "4am" as well as the Claudio Climaco Remix of his "Abyss". "Sea Trip" can be heard on Galaxie's Eclectic Electronic.
Please note that bpm:tv, Canada's only dance music TV channel, will rebroadcast the video of the Max Julien From the Edge Mix of Fred Groulx's "Abyss" on Tuesday, March 30 at 4pm and 8pm ET. The video was produced by Saycool.
DEEPSOUND ANNOUNCES SPRING SCHEDULE Fueled by Sound kicks off new decade
Montréal – Thursday, February 11, 2010 – DeepSound Records (www.deepsoundmusic.com) is proud to announce its full schedule for the first half of 2010, with great dancefloor killers from a range of new and veteran artists.
The first release of the year, out Friday, February 12, will feature the New York City house duo of Fueled by Sound (www.myspace.com/fueledbysound), featuring the fabulous voice of Brooklyn singer Kristy. The first wave of mixes for “Don’t Disappoint Me” will include remixes from DeepSound label head Max Julien (Montréal), resident remixer Fred Groulx (Montréal), and Romanian veteran Addex.
The track has already garnered fantastic reviews and is expected to be a worldwide success. So much so that a second wave of mixes will be released on April 30, led by Stephan Grondin (Montréal), DeepSound resident Marco Zappala (Rio de Janeiro), and Rob Dale & DJ Sebastian (New York), with two new versions from Fueled by Sound.
DeepSound returns to Russia with St. Petersburg beauty NaDi (www.myspace.com/djnadi), as she releases her very first progressive trance material under her Monogamma alter-ego. “Sea Trip” will see the light on March 19, supported by mixes by residents Fred Groulx and Claudio Climaco (Naples), and, all the way from the Russian Pacific coast, East Sunrise (Shakhtyorsk).
The label will venture into the Spanish capital with Pacha Madrid resident Juan Serrano (www.myspace.com/juanserranodj) and his infectious “Arpeggia”, with the multi-talented Dembora (Madrid/London) supplying the release’s sole remix. The package will be out April 2.
Another newcomer to the label is re:hab (www.myspace.com/rehabonline), led by Jay Marshall (one third of house trio Dirty Rhythm Syndicate) and Stevie Vega. The house veterans also expand their musical horizons with their newest trance offering, as the After Dark EP will be released on April 16. The original mixes of “Find My Way” and “Nocturnal will be backed by remixes from the ever-present Fred Groulx and veterans Organic DJs (Leicester, UK), respectively.
DeepSound is also proud to introduce Portuguese electronica fiend Dani Dimitri (www.myspace.com/danidimitri) with his addictive “Kaboom”, sure to energize a wide range of dancefloors. The Coimbra native will supply two mixes on this May 14 offering, with other versions coming from the UK’s Beatmode & The DubMonkeys (Manchester) – resident remixers on DeepSound’s London sister label, Accidental Music – Claudio Climaco, and Jul Räken (Montréal).
New Yorkers will be front and centre one more time on May 28, as Rob Dale & DJ Sebastian featuring Diva Dee (www.myspace.com/robdaledjsebastian, www.myspace.com/divadee) return with “Fuck Me on the Dancefloor”, which, for some reason, has already created some controversy on blogs in the United States… Confirmed mixes so far will be provided by Fueled by Sound, Marco Zappala, and Max Julien.
Finally, despite his busy schedule, Max Julien (www.myspace.com/djmaxjulien) will return with his first original material of 2010. The yet-to-be-named EP will be released on June 11, with a few surprises. And just before the summer break, Marco Zappala (www.myspace.com/marcozappala) will be releasing his long-awaited follow-up to "Wherever You Go" as "Adelante" hits the stores June 25, with remixers to be confirmed.
DeepSound Records is dedicated to promoting well-known international producers and singers as well as established and up-and-coming Canadian artists – all within the house music spectrum.
